Shell Pasta with Italian Sausage

A delicious medley of flavors come through in this Italian-inspired dish.

Serves: 4-6

Preparation Time: QUICK (30 minutes)

Difficulty Level: EASY

  • 1 Pound Box Medium Shells Pasta

 

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

  • 1 Finely-Chopped Red Onion

  • 1 Pound Kramarczuk’s Ground Italian Sausage

  • 1 14.5oz Can Diced Tomatoes with Roasted Garlic Flavor

  • ¼ Cup Merlot Red Wine

  • ¾ Cup Green Olives

  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese

  • Fresh Parsley (optional)

  1. Prepare pasta according to directions on package.

  2. Place olive oil in large pot over medium-low heat, add onion and sauté until browned and tender.  Add Italian Sausage followed by the tomatoes.  Simmer for 3 minutes.

  3. Add wine to mixture and continue to simmer for 5 minutes.  Next, add the olives and stir in until heated through.

  4. Pour prepared pasta into mixture and incorporate well.  Place the new mixture in a large, decorative dish and sprinkle with desired amount of the cheese.  Garnish with parsley.
